Bitcoin (or BTC) and other Cryptocurrencies are decentralized digital assets that are created using cryptographic techniques that allow people to buy, sell or trade them securely. Those blocks of information continue on and are time stamped then chained together after each time they are confirmed. This maintains a tamper resistant, real time, and permanent public record (or ledger) of all transactions. It helps keep crypto secure from hackers or fraud. For example it helps track, secure and confirm movement of cryptos with total transparency, and gains several confirmations on who owns how much of a cryptocurrency. With vast economic application, it quickly took its place among other wider known assets and has been integrated into many different platforms of use.
